The brilliant Vic Patterson, a tribute

A tribute to Vic Patterson, greatly missed

Its with some sadness I can report the passing of Vic Patterson. She was about to come and meet me in person with Olga and was suddenly taken from us.

I got to know her in recent years both as a PCW student and good friend. She was always full of energy and had a definate point of view. I would argue that Jason Isbell’s new album was terrific and she was just not having it commenting ‘Nick it’s so depressing!”

She as a big dog lover which resonated with me as somebody who grew up with up to nine Irish Wolfhounds with my mum recognised as a world authority on the breed. I did one session with her about the dilemma of fostering “Logan” a HUGE dog, who I named “lucky logan” and insisted that he was there to stay to join “Vic’s pack”

In terms of PCW she had excellent skills, especially in terms of knowing how best to work with clients. Part of this sensory acuity came I suspect from her police background. She assisted on two major PCW certification trainings earlier this year and to my total amazement transcribed the modules in real time without AI. This was one of her many rare talents!

Myself and other PCW trainers have set up a “pay as you feel” PCW foundation course in her honour with all proceeds going to her partner.

She is greatly missed and a big loss to us all on so many levels
