PCW for Spain, live in Valencia May 2025

I just returned from teaching PCW to a packed conference in Valencia. It was nice for once to be doing some work not on zoom and this was a return to the city after previously doing an event there twelve year ago. I was going to run this event last year, but the city was hit by massive floods, so we had to shift the date!

Working live is of course very different to working online…

Working with 110 live students requires different thinking from working online; it’s a lot easier in many ways. That said, the key to making any event work is to properly sequence the material so that people are always fully engaged. Too much information is a disaster, and too little also creates a problem! I’m a fan of working with larger groups as it creates a significant dynamic, and this was a very well-run event. I ensured we had a mixture of demos, group exercises and plenty of time for questions. The flow of any event is really important and it was great to be teaching in a big physical space for once rather than sitting in front of a laptop.

We’ll also offer a special rate for a two-day online follow-up for those attendees. This is a good way of working, combining live and online interactions to maintain professional development.

Below are some of the photos from the training, that show PCW is never a “talk and chalk” event…

PCW Online for Valencia attendees June 14/15th, 2025

We have a follow-up online training planned for attendees of this event. This will take place via Zoom on June 14th/15th. This is an opportunity to build on what was taught in the live one-day training and to explore more of the Provocative Change Works model.
