The Global 1 -1 PCW online trainings

Covid 19 stopped all live trainings, but one of the unexpected outcomes is that I’ve developed a really excellent one year PCW training programme as well as a great 1 – 1 “Deep Dive” student opportunity” I doubt that both of these would have happened without this global change in circumstances.

The Rolling One Year PCW Programme

Every month we meet from 10 – 3pm for the one year programme. Each module is split into three sections and there is an opportunity for Q and A, deconstructing video sessions, live sessions and group exercises. To date we have attendees from literally all over the globe including USA, Europe and Asia. This has without doubt been one of the most enjoyable and successful trainings do date and I am grateful for Pete Dalton my UK promoter who also coordinates these monthly events. Joe Kao has also kindly offered to run monthly practice sessions for the group and I am getting great reports on these sessions.

I have realised that ongoing training greatly helps improve skills. I always knew this intellectually, but its 100% clear that regular discussion and interaction really makes a huge difference for those attending. Its also fascinating to have a dynamic group from many locations all working together, who would never have met previously due to geographical limitations. Its also extremely cost effective as there are no travelling or hotel costs. In 2022 I will continue this programme focusing on specific problem themes every two months, including “anxiety”, anger and other client problems. PCW works by exploring the process that is at the heart of these problems and “how the client is creating the problem state”

Deep Dive Sessions

I set up the PCW 1 – 1 Deep Dive sessions to allow students to explore the model on an individual basis and to date I have weekly students across the globe including Japan, USA, Croatia, Germany, Brazil, Ireland, UK and many other countries. Some attending these bespoke one hour slots have never been to a live training and despite that are doing remarkably well. I recommend attending at least twice a month and some attend on a weekly basis and I can really see the development in skills. Many attending are existing coaches and/or therapists and use these sessions to discuss specific client problems. An unexpected benefit is that this along with the monthly trainings has really helped develop the PCW model.

The Future?

Covid 19 has in my view changed the future of trainings. I’m always mindful that as a trainer, its my job to provide the best value and these online opportunities have without doubt accelerated learning and allowed me to work with some terrific individuals. As well as the deep dive and monthly trainings, I have been running introductory trainings for specific medical groups, academics and new countries who are interested in the model.
