The good, bad and bat shit crazy – 25 years on the firing line event, Feb 2026
“For over 25 years, I’ve been working in the personal development field. It’s been a wild ride. And as next year marks 20 years since the creation of PCW, I’ve decided to tell the whole story, dating back three decades.
Rather than just celebrating the extraordinary success of the PCW model, this event lifts the lid on what really happened behind the scenes. I call it “The good, bad, and full-tilt crazy”, which feels like the perfect description for much of the journey.
This one-off live training will intrigue, provoke, and at times create much hilarity among the audience. As the old saying goes, “You really couldn’t make it up.”
Here’s some of what to expect, so BUCKLE UP, its quite a ride, a few thoughts below
- 1999: not just a Prince song, but my first introduction to the world of NLP
This was in 1999 in a huge Paul McKenna/Bandler London training over a 7 day period. Its was fun, chaotic and sparked a whole series of events over the next quarter century
- Inside the NLP inner circle, the wild ride of assisting on courses, running certified trainings, and then running for the hills
Some fond memories, but also experiencing some truly bizarre and bat shit crazy behaviours. I started running NLP certified trainings in 2022 before realising the “society” was way too cult like and increasingly focussed purely on income generation to the detriment of actual education.
- Happily departing the Society of NLP, meeting Steve Andreas, and running courses in San Francisco and Boulder, USA
Like Steve McQueen in “The Great Escape” I departed the NLP Society and to my great joy met Steve Andreas and some really smart brains that supported me in creating PCW
- The creation of Human Alchemy products and global sales success
In 2001 I created the first Human Alchemy product, “The Adventures of Well Being now” This was picked up by Anglo American Books and sold thousands internationally on that old format know as “a CD”
- The life-changing moment of meeting Frank Farrelly and Andrew T. Austin in 2004
I’d know of Andy for many years, BUT we first met in person in 2004 at my first Frank Farrelly Provocative Therapy training. Andy was my first PT client in an excercise and we’ve been friends ever since
- Hosting Frank in the UK and helping preserve his work for future generations
I started hosting Frank in 2005, mostly as the only way to learn about his work as those promoting him did a terrible job.
- Dealing with stalkers and obtaining legal injunctions to keep them at bay
For 2 years I had a stalker and ultimately took out a restraining order in Belfast having spent hundreds of hours documenting correspondance. This falls into “the bat shit crazy” catagory
Other issues we’ll be covering are –
- The creation of PCW and hilarious stories of time with Frank that changed my view of communication
- 26 weeks on BBC Radio, a baptism of fire working with phobic clients live on air
- Extraordinary success stories working with celebrities, children, and international athletes
- PCW for academics: 140 client sessions, 9 workshops, and tackling imposter syndrome and burnout
- Car crash trainings in Europe and the countries now on my personal “no-fly list”
- One-to-one clients, when things don’t go to plan and what those moments taught me
- The brightest and best inspirational people who’ve influenced my work
- Q&A on all of the above
For the brave and bold
