"This approach only allows the client two choices and these are presented in
a ridiculously polarised and exaggerated fashion. I used this technique
extensively during the 'Matt needle phobia session' on the Provocative
Change Works DVD set. In this session I would insist that he agree on only
one of two possibilities and would refuse to countenance any feedback that
included such phrases as 'maybe', 'possibly', 'probably' and other such vague
terms. This approach often is used to generate useful states of confusion
with the client to change the old behavioural pattern as the practitioner
shifts between proclaiming the benefits of each digital choice."
