The PCW Practitioner Course will launch in Japan next April and consist of 3 different levels of training help throughout the year. Here are some details of what to expect

What is the PCW Practitioner Course?

The PCW Practitioner teaches the three key elements of the PCW so you can apply these skills in real life contexts to produce measurable and productive results. There are 3 levels to this training:

PCW Level 1 - Overview

This is an overview of the tools available in the PCW model. You begin to explore the power and possibilities of adopting the PCW provocative stances. You learn how to get into the frame of communicating conversationally "as if talking to an old friend" while remaining in a resourceful state that will assist in client change. This level 1 training begins to explore how to use hypnosis in client sessions and techniques to change unhelpful internal dialogue providing new possibilities for the client.

This is what is included in PCW Level 1
•Ability to use initial provocative stances and understand stance implications
•Awareness of core provocative exercises and ability to incorporate exercises with icon cards
•Ability to demonstrate Voice Tempo Exercise
•Ability to adopt appropriate manner for client sessions
•Ability to demonstrate Arm Relaxation exercise

PCW Level 2 - Skill Management

This module focuses on becoming an effective practitioner with an ability to use these tools with ease. We concentrate on further developing the PCW tool kit and explore the provocative stances in more depth. We also discover how to identify and challenge the metaphors that have created the problem state. By doing this you also learn how to create a useful future feedback loop for the client by working in "the here and now". This is done in an improvised manner with exquisite state control allowing the client new ways of thinking. In level two we also learn how to identify the client's internal map through information elicitation and crucially how to challenge and offer new possibilities of behaviour.

•Ability to use improvisational skills in client sessions
•Eliciting and challenging client metaphors
•Ability to use PCW spinning feelings to change client states
•Ability to use suggestive predicates to direct client attention
•Ability to use all provocative stances with ease and understand the stance implications
•Identify drivers for behaviour and recognize problem patterns in clients
•Review an existing PCW client session on video and write up commentary detailing elements of PCW approach used during this session

PCW Level 3 - Real Life Applications

This module focuses on being able to demonstrate a full understanding of the PCW process with fluidity and elegance. By the end of this module you will be able to conduct a live client session in which you clearly identify the use of stances, elicit and challenge metaphors, identify and use language patterns/hypnosis tools and work in an improvised manner.

•Ability to identify stances, metaphors, language patterns in PCW sessions
•Strategic thinking 3 shapes exercise for creating productive individual and group outcomes
•Ability to demonstrate fluidity with all 3 aspects of PCW
•Ability to produce a feedback audio recording for client

I just completed the 2012 Budapest Provocative Change Works event and will be running another level 1 training in Valencia later this month. In 2013 PCW level 1 trainings will also be running for the first time in Austin Texas, Rochester and Vienna as well as the usual cities around the world. There will also be a series of level 1, 2 & 3 trainings in Japan, details to be revealed later this month
